He loved sharing these hobbies with his sons and later, his granddaughters. He loved being on the farm. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cynthia Blackford of Murray, IA, son, Mikeal Blackford, son, Richard (Miranda) Blackford of Des Moines, IA, granddaughters, Corley and Emery Blackford of Des Moines, IA, sister, Diane McPherson of Des Moines, IA, sister, Sue (Gary) Skinner of Des Moines, IA, sister, Brenda (Rick) Baccus of Des Moines, IA, Goddaughter, Krystal Baccus of Des Moines, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.
