Born in Allen County Feb. 24, 1901, she was a daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Witte. Her first marriage was to Robert Werling, who preceded her in death in 1959. Werling of rural Ossian; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Elzey-Dickey-Haggard Funeral Home in Ossian from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and one hour prior to services, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at New Hope Lutheran Church in Ossian, Rev. Jeffrey A. Oschwald will officiate and burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to New Hope, Bethlehem, and Zion Lutheran Church.
