Millie was born on May 29, 1937, in Battle Creek, the daughter of William and Minnie (Praeuner) Brandt. Read More	1937-2017 Millie passed Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Heritage of Bel Air after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Millie was born on May 29, 1937, in Battle Creek, the daughter of William and Minnie (Praeuner) Brandt. She was raised in Battle Creek and graduated from St. John’s Lutheran High School in Winfield, Kan. On April 14, 1956, Millie married the love of her life, Richard L. “Dick” Allison, in Madison. They spent 61 years together and were rarely seen apart. They set an example for what the commitment to marriage means, and he was with her every step of the way toward the end. She was an avid golfer, but her passion was for her friends and family, both immediate and extended. Millie was best known in the community for serving people. Outside of her friends and family, she dedicated 31 years of her life to Tiny Tots Day Care Center, a business which she founded and operated. Between a “south” and “north” location, she had a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of children and families over those years. Millie is survived by her spouse of 61 years, Dick; her children and their spouses, Rick and Linda Allison of Norfolk, Wendy Leege of Omaha and Dan and Allison Allison of Omaha; four grandchildren, Makenzie, Ashton, Braxton and Madison; and her siblings, Betty Sotiropoulos of Belleville, Ill., Helen Armstrong of Norfolk, Dora Houfek of Norfolk and Bob Brandt of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk.
