Nash and Lura Morris Nash. She was predeceased by her husband George Everette Thompson Sr. She was a longtime employee of Wofford College. She was predeceased by one son, George Thompson Jr. and one grandson, Scott Thompson. She was a faithful dedicated member of Chesnee United Methodist Church for 71 years. She participated in many church activities but the role she loved most was the many years she spent teaching Sunday school. Funeral services will be held at Chesnee United Methodist Church, 409 Kentucky Ave. Chesnee, SC, Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev Lee Roper, Rev. Bill Thompson and Pastor Jody Reynolds. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chesnee United Methodist Church building fund.
