Description	:	Mrs. Mildred Augusta Rast Boyd, of 736 Waterspring Road, Orangeburg, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Orangeburg Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Jamison, with the Rev. Justin Eshleman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Jamison, directed by Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Orangeburg. Mrs. Boyd is the daughter of the late Lucile Horger Rast and the late Harry Dreher Rast Sr. She was affectionately known as "Miss Mil" or "Aunt Mil." Mrs. Boyd lived out her life in the Jamison Community in service to others.... She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Mearon Boyd; a sister, Myrtle Rast Davis; and a brother, Harry Dreher Rast Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Harriett Boyd Fisher and husband, Albert Graham Fisher III; three grandchildren, Albert Graham Fisher IV, Jonathan Weldon Fisher, Anna Boyd Fisher and her husband, Richard Mason; a great-granddaughter, Zoie Elizabeth Rohr. Friends may call at the residence and the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Jamison. Memorials may be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Harry Rast Scholarship Fund; Cemetery Fund; or Seniors Fund, 727 Waterspring Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
