Description	:	Mildred B. Smith, 96, died July 6, 1999. Cremation has taken place and burial of the ashes will be in the Shorthill Cemetery in Paradise Valley. Rev. David Greep, of Pine Creek United Methodist Church will officiate. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Isaac Newton and Mattie (Bond) Beach. She grew up and received her early education in Courtney, N.D. At the age of 16 she and her family moved to Livingston and she graduated from Park County High School in 1921. They ranched in Pine Creek where she worked as a secretary for the Paradise Valley Telephone Compnay in the 1930s before Mountain Bell was established in the valley. She was also a post office clerk. She was a member of Pine Creek United Methodist Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She also greatly enjoyed sewing.
