Miss Lincoln underwent an operation for appendicitis last Thursday and has been in critical condition since that time. She contracted the mumps Monday. She had suffered appendicitis attacks two weeks before the operation. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church with Rev. She had suffered appendicitis attacks two weeks before the operation. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church with Rev. Deane Chapman in charge. "Going Down the Valley," "Abide with Me" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," will be sung by the Ogden high school mixed quartete (sic) accompanied by Dayle Allen. Interment will be made at the Pleasant Hill cemetery, southeast of Ogden. OBITUARY Mildred Eileen Lincoln was born at Canby, Minnesota, August 21, 1921 and passed away in the Boone County hospital at Boone, Iowa early on the morning of April 14, 1936 aged 14 years, 7 months and 3 weeks. Mildred started to school at Canby, Minn., but finished her grammar school work at Cass School in Boone county, in 1935. The Lincoln family came to Boone County, settling in Cass township in 1930. Mildred made many new friends in their new home community. Last fall, however, the famil moved into Ogden in order that their children might attend school here. Mildred entered te local high school last fall in the freshman class. She was very enthusiastic about her school work. In the brief months of this school year she made many friends and was well liked by both her teachers and class mates. Mildred attended both Sunday School and Church in Minnesota. Since the family came to Ogden she became a member of Mrs. Garrett's class in the Methodist Sunday School. Mildred had planned on becoming a member of the church East Sunday but her illness prevented it. She was a quie, retiring girl. She was very helpful in the home. She will be greatly missed by the entire community. She leaves to mourn her passing, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lincoln, one sister, Marjorie, four brothers, Milo, Cleo, Kenneth and Wayne, a grandfather and grandmother, 5 uncles and one aunt. Besides these she leaves other more distant relatives and many friends.
