Wilson Poston; and her daughter, Elizabeth Grace Poston. She is survived by her three children, the Honorable Charles E. Wilson Poston; and her daughter, Elizabeth Grace Poston. She is survived by her three children, the Honorable Charles E. Poston and wife, Anita, of Norfolk, VA, daughters, Martha Poston Turner and husband, Pat, of Manakin-Sabot, VA, and Janet Poston Hardeman and husband, Keith, of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren, Grace, Rett, and Maribeth Turner, Geoffrey and Emily Hardeman, Evans, John and Meg Poston; sister, Nona Pillow Parham of Hampton, VA; and brother, Kenneth B. Pillow of Tempe, AZ. Mildred was a graduate of Phenix High School in Charlotte County, VA. She obtained her teaching certificate from Averett Junior College in 1937, received her BA from Columbia College in South Carolina, and her Master's from the University of South Carolina. She was the former principal of Keysville Elementary School. Most of her teaching career was spent in Richland County Schools in Columbia, SC. Mrs. Poston was a member of Second Baptist Church in Richmond. The family will receive friends Monday, June 16, 2008, from 6pm to 8pm, at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA. 23060. A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Rd., Columbia, SC, where the family received friends from 1pm to 2pm. Entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Lakewood Manor Baptist Retirement Community Benevolence Fund, 1900 Lauderdale Dr., Richmond, Va. 23238.
