Martens and Minnie Louise (Hanke) Martens, on a farm northeast of Postville, Iowa. She passed away January 3, 2005, in the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital at Decorah, Iowa. She had reached the age of 82 years and 7 months.She was baptized July 12, 1953 as a Jehovah's Witness. Mildred attended the rural schools of the Postville area. Following her education, she was employed by a motel in Waukon. On May 22, 1943 Mildred was married to Robert Wayne Krousie at Monona, Iowa. To this union six children were born. They farmed with Bob's parents then they moved to a farm north of Monona, Iowa in 1950. Mildred lived in the Monona, Luana, and finally, the Waukon area.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, who died February 11, 1981, four brothers, including her twin brother, Milton, and brothers, Calvin, Vernon, and Harlan, and two sisters, Ruth Klein and Shirley Marsden.She is survived by her children, Robert, Cedar Rapids, IA, Terry (Linda), Harpers Ferry, IA, James, Marion, IA, Mike (Kathleen), Monona, IA, Barbara (Michael) Schulte, Manly, IA, and Kevin (Ellen), Waukon; 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two sisters, Eileen Klein, Cedar Rapids, and Marian (Lloyd) Thornton, Elgin, IA.The 17 grandchildren include: Renee (Greg), Robert H. (Dawn), Jon (Kristin); Brenda Lea, Brad (Tanya), Brian (Tracey), Tracey (Jeff) , Jason (Erin), Alicia; Travis (Tracey), Nicole; Shannan, Heather, Michael; Stacey, Brandon; Sarah; 19 great grandchildren: Stephanie, Spencer, Courtney, Camille, Cade, Olivia, Clayton, Ashlyn; Ashley, Chelse, Ericka, Tanner, Allie, Madison, Hunter, Kaylee, Brittany, Lauren; and Joel.
