Description	:	Mildred "Milly" Emma Zenor passed away February 1, 2015 at Methodist West Hospital in West Des Moines, IA. Milly was born in Wabash, NE on March 3, 1928 to Henry and Emma Rueter and raised in Grand Junction, IA. She attended Simpson College and Iowa Methodist Hospital's School of Nursing, graduating with her RN in 1949. During her nursing career Milly worked at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, Greene County Hospital, Mary Greeley Hospital, Northwest Hospital and the Iowa Jewish Center. Milly was born in Wabash, NE on March 3, 1928 to Henry and Emma Rueter and raised in Grand Junction, IA. She attended Simpson College and Iowa Methodist Hospital's School of Nursing, graduating with her RN in 1949. During her nursing career Milly worked at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, Greene County Hospital, Mary Greeley Hospital, Northwest Hospital and the Iowa Jewish Center. Milly also volunteered with Hospice and the Iowa Lutheran Hospital Gift Shop. Milly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, Henry and Emma Rueter; sisters, Gladys (Harold) Blanshan and Wilma (Ed) Snook; brother, Vernon (Dorothy) Rueter. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 5 at Iles Westover Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 6 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 8301 Aurora Avenue, Urbandale. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Madrid, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Urbandale, IA in loving memory of Milly. The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers of Edgewater and Methodist West Hospital for their loving care of Milly.
