Angstrom, 71, of 1319 West Sixth street, a resident of Davenport the last year, and formerly of Moline, died at 6:55 a.m. today in Mercy hospital after a year's illness. Angstrom, 71, of 1319 West Sixth street, a resident of Davenport the last year, and formerly of Moline, died at 6:55 a.m. today in Mercy hospital after a year's illness. Mrs. Angstrom, who had resided in Moline for 40 years prior to coming to Davenport, was born March 4, 1874, in Blue Grass. She had taught schools in Muscatine county and Buffalo township prior to her marriage to Emil G. Angstrom, April 29, 1893. The couple had engaged in farming near Monmouth, Ia., before moving to Moline. Mr. Angstrom died Dec. 17, 1946, and a year later Mrs. Angstrom came to Davenport. She was of Lutheran faith, and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lenora Twigg, Douglas, Ariz., and Mrs. Saddie Pentico, Des Moines. A brother and four sisters preceded her in death. The body was removed to Runge Mortuary. Daily Times - Saturday - March 24, 1951 Funeral services for Mrs. Millie Angstrom were held at 1 p.m. today in Runge chapel, the Rev. John Koening officiating. Burial was in Blue Grass cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Angstrom, Edward Brus, Beecher Bottomley, Hugo Lehms, Harvey Bluedorn and Forrest Baker.
