Description	:	Millie Pearson, age 97, of Roseville, MN, entered her heavenly home Dec 12, 2016. Mildred Hazel Pearson was born Mar 2, 1919, to Wilhelm and Bertha (Kirstein) Gause, the youngest of six siblings, all of whom preceded her in death. She married her beloved Casey in 1947 in Montrose, SD, and they enjoyed 58 years together before his death in 2005. Millie was a creative person. Read More	Millie Pearson, age 97, of Roseville, MN, entered her heavenly home Dec 12, 2016. Mildred Hazel Pearson was born Mar 2, 1919, to Wilhelm and Bertha (Kirstein) Gause, the youngest of six siblings, all of whom preceded her in death. She married her beloved Casey in 1947 in Montrose, SD, and they enjoyed 58 years together before his death in 2005. Millie was a creative person. She always had an artistic flair – teaching herself to sew beautifully. When she was in her 70’s, she began folk painting and painted everything from saws and sifters to wooden figures. Her love of flowers spilled over into her many beautiful gardens. She was an expert in tatting and created hundreds of incredible snowflakes. She created tiny gift cards decorated with flowers and always had several creative projects in the works. She will be remembered as a tireless worker, creative homemaker, loving mother and grandma, fun-loving prankster, good friend, and woman of deep faith. She will also be missed by many friends at Eaglecrest, The Johanna Shores Gables Nursing Home, Calvary Church, Ramsey Baptist and 'back home' in Montrose. Millie is survived by her three children: Beverly Solberg, Calvin (Lynda) Pearson, and Bernetta (Larry) Carlson, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held on Sat, Dec 17, 2016, at the Ramsey Baptist Church, rural Montrose, SD, with interment following at the Ramsey Baptist Church Cemetery. A celebration of Millie's life is planned for a later post-holiday date at the Calvary Church, Roseville, MN. Arrangements were with the Kinzley Funeral Home, Salem, SD.
