Description	:	Funeral services for Mildred I. Brink, age 90, of Oakdale, were held Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Oakdale. Pastor Sharee Johnson officiated with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden. Mildred Ione Prevo Brink, daughter of Stephen and Anne (Telgren) Prevo, was born February 10, 1917 at Oakdale, NE. She attended and graduated from Oakdale Public School. On February 20, 1939, she was married to Merle W. Brink at Oakdale. They had three children, Roger, Keith, and Patricia. Mildred lived on the Brink family farm, 2 miles east of Oakdale, until she and Merle retired to Oakdale in 1993. In November of 2005 she and Merle entered the Neligh Nursing Home in Neligh. She was a member of the Oakdale Methodist Church and served on the Oakdale Cemetery Board and Library Board. She was also a member of the Oakdale Country Club and Oakdale Senior Citizens. Mildred died Friday, June 15 at the Golden Living Center in Neligh, at the age of 90. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Roger and Maxine Brink of Atkinson, Keith and Mia Brink of Albuquerque, NM, and Pat and Roman Hupp of Oakdale; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle; and 2 sisters, Neola Fields and Carol Obershaw; and one brother, Virgil Prevo.
