Funeral services will be Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Bryant with the Rev. Cathal Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery near Bryant. Garrey was born Oct. 3, 1923, to Frank and Theodosia Garrey near Erwin. She attended school at Erwin, graduating in 1941. She then worked at various jobs in the area. She married Dean Guse March 8, 1944, at Bryant. After her husband's discharge from the Army the couple settled near Bryant and began farming. She was a housewife and mother. She worked for the U.S. Census Bureau until she retired and kept records for the U.S. Weather Service for 55 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was very active in the church and the Altar Society. She enjoyed crafts, baking, gardening, her flowers and most of all, spending time with her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean. Survivors include one son, Jim Guse of Box Elder; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth Garrey of Plano, Texas. Watertown Public Opinion December 13, 2007
