She was preceded in death by her husband, Nile Clear; son, Jimmy Clear and beloved nephew, John Anthony Baker. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mona and Marshall Carpenter of Vienna, Va.; her grandchildren, Kelly Carpenter and wife, Marsha, Susan Plew, David Carpenter and Jennifer Carpenter; a great-granddaughter, Aja Plew; two... The family will receive friends Sunday, August 3, 1997 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Home, Pearisburg.
