Description	:	VERMILLION -- Mildred Engle, 91, of Vermillion died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at the Sioux Valley Vermillion Hospital. Mildred Doohen was born June 21, 1913, in Garryowen, SD to John and Nora (Conran) Doohen. She married John Rabusch in 1932, and they farmed for many years in Garryowen, and then operated a business in Lester, IA. Mr. Rabusch died in 1957, and Mildred married Hudson Engle in 1960. Read More	VERMILLION -- Mildred Engle, 91, of Vermillion died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at the Sioux Valley Vermillion Hospital. Mildred Doohen was born June 21, 1913, in Garryowen, SD to John and Nora (Conran) Doohen. She married John Rabusch in 1932, and they farmed for many years in Garryowen, and then operated a business in Lester, IA. Mr. Rabusch died in 1957, and Mildred married Hudson Engle in 1960. They moved to Sioux City, IA where she was employed at Bostwicks Department Store. Mr. Engle died in 1979. She moved to Hawarden, IA, where she lived with a brother and sister for many years until moving to Vermillion in 1989. Mildred was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion, a 65-year member of the Catholic Daughters, and a member of the Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by two granddaughters: Karla Rabusch of Walnut Creek, CA; and Kathy (Rob) Fagot of Minneapolis, MN; one grandson, Tom (Annette) Rabusch of Minneapolis, MN; and six great-grandchildren: Nicollette, Jack and Kirk Fagot, Jacob, Emma and Nathan Rabusch, all of Minneapolis. She is also survived by one niece, Jean (Hal) Shouse of Los Altos, CA; and two nephews: Tom (Kay) Shouse of Minneapolis; and John (Rosemary) Doohen of Sioux City, IA; a daughter-in-law, Karen (Mike) Rabusch Schneider of Kellogg, IA; and a brother-in-law, Wendell Shouse of Vermillion. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, three sons, three brothers, two sisters and a nephew. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Hawarden, IA. The Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion is in charge of the arrangements. Yankton Press & Dakotan
