Description	:	Mildred K. Martin, 94, Wheatland, Iowa, died Sunday evening, May 21, 2006 at her home in Wheatland. Mildred Kathryn Martin was born January 2, 1912 in Calamus, Iowa. She was the daughter of Martin and Inez (McFarland) Neff. Mildred married Lowell Martin, April 2, 1933. She assisted her husband in owning and operating Martin's Radio and Electric at Wheatland, and with his band, "The Novel Chords". The couple also operated a truck garden for many years. Martin, 94, Wheatland, Iowa, died Sunday evening, May 21, 2006 at her home in Wheatland. Mildred Kathryn Martin was born January 2, 1912 in Calamus, Iowa. She was the daughter of Martin and Inez (McFarland) Neff. Mildred married Lowell Martin, April 2, 1933. Surviving are a granddaughter, Colette Stankee Levsen and her husband, Robert, Calamus; four great-grandchildren, Janee' Levsen, Wheatland, Jennifer (Jay) Wagener, Chaska, Minnesota, Jacob (Kimberly) Levsen, DesMoines, Iowa, and Jonathan Levsen, Clinton, Iowa; three great-great-grandchildren, Victoria Wagener, Braden Wagener and Haley Levsen. two sisters, Melba Petersen and Eileen Brandt of the Quad Cities. Preceding Mildred in death in addition to her husband, Lowell, were a daughter, Gilene Martin Stankee, a son-in-law, Donald Stankee and a brother, Kenneth Neff. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at the Grand Mound Community Center, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2006. A pot luck supper will follow. (Source: Schultz Funeral Home)
