Description	:	Mildred L. Wing February 8, 1912 – April 1, 2011 Mildred L. Wing passed away peacefully at LaVilla Grande Care Center on April 1, 2011 after a long illness. She was born February 8, 1912, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Earnest and Bess Inglehart. Mildred moved to Grand Junction at an early age and resided here the rest of her life. In 1931, she married Alvin Wing and they spent many wonderful years together. Read More	Mildred L. Wing February 8, 1912 – April 1, 2011 Mildred L. Wing passed away peacefully at LaVilla Grande Care Center on April 1, 2011 after a long illness. She was born February 8, 1912, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Earnest and Bess Inglehart. Mildred moved to Grand Junction at an early age and resided here the rest of her life. In 1931, she married Alvin Wing and they spent many wonderful years together. They had two sons, Theodore "Ted" and Robert "Bob", eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren. Alvin, Ted, her parents, two brothers and one sister, preceded her in death. Bob of Lakewood survives. Mildred and Al loved to square dance and traveled to many festivals around the country and attended several Peach Festivals. They also enjoyed camping, picnicking and fishing on Grand Mesa with friends and family. Mildred graduated from Ross Business School and worked as a secretary multiple times in her life. She was especially proud of her abilities as a legal secretary. More importantly, however, she was a homemaker and an excellent cook. Many wonderful and enjoyable family gatherings centered around her kitchen and dinner table. She was an active member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Rebekah's Lodge and the Riverside Club. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1326 N. 1st Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, 3090B North 12th. Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506, or the First Christian Church.
