Mildred Lena Reichel was born May 3, 1929 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of George and Anna (Suhren) Reichel. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church – Grant Township. Mildred attended country school in Plymouth County and later high school in Le Mars. She graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1947 and attended Western Union College in Le Mars where she received her teacher's certificate and taught country school in Plymouth County for a few years. Mildred Lena Reichel was born May 3, 1929 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of George and Anna (Suhren) Reichel. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church – Grant Township. Mildred attended country school in Plymouth County and later high school in Le Mars. She graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1947 and attended Western Union College in Le Mars where she received her teacher's certificate and taught country school in Plymouth County for a few years. Mildred was united in marriage to Clarence Kluver on February 16, 1950 at Christ Lutheran Church – Grant Township. The couple farmed near Craig, Iowa for many years. Clarence passed away on June 3, 1997 in Le Mars. Mildred continued to make her home on farm. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was active in the ladies' aide for many years. Mildred enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden, reading books, magazines and newspapers. She also enjoyed taking fishing trips with her family and doing word search puzzles. Survivors include her son, Larry Kluver of Ireton, Iowa; daughter-in-law Christine Kluver of Le Mars, Iowa; three grandchildren: Jessica (Adam) Krupicka of Nevada, Iowa, Scott (Michelle) Kluver of Le Mars, Iowa and Curtis Kluver (fiancé, Jessica Smallfield); five great grandchildren: Callie, Jayden, Aubree, Miles and Jackson; a special cousin, Sharleen Orazi of Scottsdale, Arizona and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Anna Reichel; her husband, Clarence Kluver and her son, Arlan Kluver. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church – Grant Township, rural Le Mars, Iowa. Reverend Shawn Brooks will officiate. Private family burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.
