Description	:	SOPHIA - Mildred Lewis Farlow, 79, died June 15, 2004, at her home. She was born Jan. 13, 1925, in Mitchell, La., a daughter of Walter G. and Virgie Marie Lewis. Her family moved to Sandusky, Ohio, in 1941 where she became a Christian in the Sandusky Pilgrim Holiness Church. She was a devoted Christian for 62 years. She was born Jan. 13, 1925, in Mitchell, La., a daughter of Walter G. and Virgie Marie Lewis. Her family moved to Sandusky, Ohio, in 1941 where she became a Christian in the Sandusky Pilgrim Holiness Church. She was a devoted Christian for 62 years. She attended Frankfort Pilgrim College in Frankfort, Ind., where she met her future husband, the Rev. Kermit Farlow. They were married July 31, 1946, in Galena, Ohio. She was a pastor's wife for 10 years and the wife of a General Evangelist for 40 years. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in nursing homes for 28 years. She was a member of Archdale Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; four sisters; one half sister; and one half brother. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Arnold Farlow and wife, Sandra, of Trinity, Willis Farlow and wife, Vangie, of Archdale and Stuart Lee Farlow of Sophia; one daughter, Glenda Swails and her husband, Doug, of Archdale; three sisters, Betty Jane Lister and Maggie Jagers, both of Frierson, La., and Erline Angeles of Junction City, Alaska; six grandchildren, Trisha Milliken, Kimberly Peterson, Shana Powell, Christopher Farlow, Samuel Farlow and Stacy Farlow; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua Milliken and Alexis Powell. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Archdale Wesleyan Church, by the Rev. Alvin Wooters. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Memorials may be made to Archdale Wesleyan Church, 308 Hattie St., Archdale, N.C. 27263.
