Description	:	MILDRED GARNER Funeral services for Mildred Lucy Garner, 96, were Fri., March 18, 2005, at the Fairview First Church of the Nazarene in Fairview. The Revends Chuck McKinney & Jim Burggraf officiated. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. Mildred Lucy GARNER was born west of Fairview to Jack & Lora (KROPF) WARNER on Oct. 24, 1908, & departed this life Tues., March 15, 2005 at the Fairview Fellowship Home. Mildred Lucy GARNER was born west of Fairview to Jack & Lora (KROPF) WARNER on Oct. 24, 1908, & departed this life Tues., March 15, 2005 at the Fairview Fellowship Home. She attended country school at the Tucker School & then attended Alva Normal School where she received her teaching certificate. (This is what the college name was at that time) She taught school at Red Top, Tin Top, Fairbanks, Orion & Phroso Country Schools. While teaching at Fairbanks she met Elda GARNER. They were married on April 7, 1934 in Enid. They lived on a farm west of Fairview for most of their married life & moved into Fairview in 1957. After moving to Fairview, Mildred worked as a sales clerk at TG&Y Barketts, and later at Crumps. She worked until her eyesight forced her to retire. She was a member of the Fairview First Church of the Nazarene. She was active in the Rebekkah Lodge, Royal Neighbors and Betterment Home Extension Club. She is survived by daugher & son-in-law, Sue & Elmer TUXHORN of Cleo Springs, OK; granddaughter, Tammi TUXHORN of Hopeton, OK; grandsons; Marty FULLER & wife Amber of Shawnee, OK; Kelly TUXHORN & wife, Joleen of Hobort, OK: great-grandchildren Chase FULLER of Valley View, TX, Clint FULLER of San ANtonio, TX, Clay FULLER & mother Darla RILEY of Elk City, OK and Kaden & Rylea WILSON of Shawnee; sisters-in-law Beatrice WARNER & Lucille WILSON both of Fairview & Frances LAND WHER of Bullhear, AZ; 8 nieces, Vaid MAJOR, Yvonne WILLIAMS, June SEXTON, Freda METZ, Ramona PARKER, Karlene PEMBROOK, Glenda CRAFT & Paula SANTILLIAN; 5 nephews, Ray & Vernon WOMACK, RJ DANIEL, Don CANADAY & Harley WARNER and also special friend & caregiver Tammy Jo SWANSON, & other special caregivers on Wing 5 of the Fairview Fellowship Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elda; grandson, Monty FULLER; parents, Jack & Lora WARNER; sisters, Clara WOMACK, Fern CANADAY & Thelma DANILE; & brothers, Carl, Glenn & Gene WARNER. Memorials can be made to Oklahoma League for the Blind or Hospice Circle of Love throught the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. (paid obit)
