Description	:	Mildred Lydia (Neu) Jeffers, 91, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Farmington, Iowa, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at her home. Born October 30, 1925 in Farmington, Iowa the daughter of George and Lydia Neu. On July 23, 1960 she married Merlyn “Pete” Jeffers. Survivors include one daughter; Mary (John) Young of Red Oak, Texas, one son; Jon (Pam Christy) Jeffers of Farmington, Iowa, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Lydia, husband; Merlyn, two siblings in infancy, two brothers; Robert Neu and Herbert Neu and three sisters; Viola Proenneke, Verna Henderson and Freda... Born October 30, 1925 in Farmington, Iowa the daughter of George and Lydia Neu. On July 23, 1960 she married Merlyn “Pete” Jeffers. Survivors include one daughter; Mary (John) Young of Red Oak, Texas, one son; Jon (Pam Christy) Jeffers of Farmington, Iowa, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Lydia, husband; Merlyn, two siblings in infancy, two brothers; Robert Neu and Herbert Neu and three sisters; Viola Proenneke, Verna Henderson and Freda Hoaglin. Mildred graduated from Farmington High School. She was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church all her life and a member of Chapter O, P.E.O. since 1949. She was employed at Farmington Co-Operative Creamery for nineteen years, following she assisted her husband with his milk route business for twenty years and then worked part time at local insurance businesses for twenty years. According to her wishes her body has been cremated. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 Schmitz Funeral Home in Farmington, Iowa where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. that evening. A memorial service with be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Farmington United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Elrod officiating. Following the memorial service a private family burial will be held at Greenglade Cemetery and a meal will follow at the church.
