Description	:	MILDRED M. STENGER Mildred M. Stenger, 93, of Hillview Care Center in Altoona, formerly of Roaring Spring, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1997, at the nursing home. She was born April 26, 1903, in Trenton, N.J., a daughter of the late Herman E. and Ada Hagaman Mason. On June 14, 1923, in Forty Fort, she married the Rev. Harry C. Stenger, who died Oct. 25, 1961. Read More	MILDRED M. STENGER Mildred M. Stenger, 93, of Hillview Care Center in Altoona, formerly of Roaring Spring, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1997, at the nursing home. She was born April 26, 1903, in Trenton, N.J., a daughter of the late Herman E. and Ada Hagaman Mason. On June 14, 1923, in Forty Fort, she married the Rev. Harry C. Stenger, who died Oct. 25, 1961. She was a 1920 graduate of Will-iamsport High School in Williams-port, Md. She was matron at The Metho-dist Home for the Aged in Tyrone, which is now known as Epworth Manor. After the death of her husband, she served as the interim superintendent at the home until March 1, 1962. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Roaring Spring. She served as past president of the women's group of the church, and past vice president of the Altoona District United Methodist Women. She was also a Sunday school teacher for many years and a former choir member. She was a member of Church Women United of Roaring Spring and a touring member of Roaring Spring Senior Citizens. She was a 60-year member of the Roaring Spring Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. She also served as a volunteer worker at the Nason Hospital Gift Shop in Roaring Spring, and delivered mail in the hospital from 1963 to 1989. She enjoyed embroidering and cross-stitching. She is survived by three daughters, Ada R. Adamski of Roaring Spring, Flora S. Brooks of Belle-fonte, and Barbara S. Mingle of rur-al Martinsburg; two sons, George M. of Akron, Ohio, and Herman E. of Oak Park, Ill; 13 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Harry and Wilbur. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Roaring Spring, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Stamm officiating. An Eastern Star service will also be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Cemetery in Williamsport, Md., with the Rev. Dr. Stamm officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, Pa. 16673. Arrangements are under the direction of J.
