Chasey, 84, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Ottumwa, died May 29, 2007, at Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City, Ariz. She was bom Oct. 23,1922, in Blakesburg to William I. and Clara Zigler Proctor. She married Thomas W. Chasey Oct. 20, 1945. He preceded her in death Aug. 13,1994. A resident of Sun City since 1987, she was a former member of the Palo Verde Artists Club. Surviving is a son, James Chasey of Sun City, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Brice Chasey, Riley Chasey and Kate Watts. She was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Chasey; three brothers, John, Lester and Edward Proctor; two sisters, Mary Olson and Martha Fowler. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Gray officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday with the family present one hour prior to the service.
