Description	:	Mildred Maxine Zimmerman, daughter of Claude and Nellie (Davis) Pierce, was born on a farm near Van Wert, Iowa, on May 11, 1918, and peacefully found her way to Heaven on February 26, 2016, at Pearl s II Eden for Elders in Princeton, Missouri, at the age of 97 years. Mildred was raised in Van Wert, Iowa, where she was a 1935 graduate of Van Wert High School. On June 9, 1939, she was united in marriage to Ralph Richard Zimmerman of Dallas Center, Iowa. To this union was born three daughters, Janice, Judy, and Sharon. Mildred and Ralph lived and worked most of their married life in and around the Des Moines, Iowa, area where she was a homemaker and was also employed by the State of Iowa Department of Social Services as an office clerk for 18 years. Mildred retired in 1977, and they moved to Twin Lakes near Mercer, Missouri. In 1988 they moved to Lineville, Iowa. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Janice Kearney, of Des Moines, Iowa; a son-in-law, Dave Bracewell of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grand- children; 6 great, great-grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph, on March 5, 2003; two daughters, Judy Pottinger and Sharon Bracewell; a son-in-law, Carol Kearney; and by three brothers and three sisters. Mildred enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and crocheting. She and Ralph also enjoyed their retirement years fishing and their lake property at Twin Lakes. Mildred was cremated under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville, Iowa. Inurnment graveside services will be held at a later date in the Van Wert, Iowa, Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Mildred Zimmerman Memorial Fund. Contributions may be mailed to Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service, P.O. Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.
