She was predeceased by her parents, O.C. and Norma Martin of Galax; brother and sister-in-law, C.L. and Lucy Martin of Galax, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Ed Hastings of Roanoke; and stepson, Jim Feuer of West Lafayette, IN; and husband, A.B. "Bud" Feuer of Roanoke. Left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Melinda Cox; one son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Cynthia Cox; and one granddaughter, Alexandra Cox – all of Roanoke, VA. One brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Pat Martin of Galax, VA. One stepson, Robert (Rhonda) of Indianapolis, IN and daughters, Stefanie Houseman (Joel) and Kayla Feuer; and one stepdaughter, Ellen Greenberg (Ben) of Eldersburg , MD and daughters, Heather and Robyn Greenberg. Special nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friend, Nancy Hurt. The family would like to thank Dr. Ross Murchison for his compassionate care. Millie was a woman of kindness and grace. She was an amateur artist, who studied under the late George Solonevich; and specialized in landscapes and seascapes in oil. She indulged regularly in the lost art of letter writing and was heavily involved in her family's genealogy, helped by others to trace her roots back to early Jamestown. She was an avid organic gardener, flower grower, southern cook and bread baker. Millie loved her God, her family, her feline family and her dear friends in the Berean Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Roanoke. Her beautiful smile touched many hearts with which she shared her gifts and talents. A Memorial Service celebrating Millie's life will be held at Heights Community Church, 2014 Memorial Avenue in Grandin Village on Saturday, December 13, 2014, and will be officiated by Rev. Nelson Harris.
