Born on Tancook Island, she was a daughter of the late George and Jennie (Stevens) Smith. She was a homemaker and a former member of Central Baptist Church, Halifax, where she had been active in several areas of the church, including the choir. She was also a former member of both the North Alton Baptist Church and the Centreville Baptist Church. She is survived by sons, Donald Nauss, Coldbrook; David (Joyce) Nauss, Halifax; sister, Elizabeth Raddysh, Edmonton; brother, George (Lorna) Smith, Fredericton; grandchildren, Andrew (Cathy) Lewis, Steven Lewis, C.J. Nauss, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Clifford Nauss; daughter, Margaret Lewis and sisters, Virginia Mason-Dennis and Ruth Clayton. There will be no visitation by family request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Rev. Elizabeth Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery, Chester. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to Grand View Manor.
