OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, April 30, 1998 MILDRED RUTH SELLERS Mildred Ruth Talbott Sellers was born March 10, 1918, at Moville, Iowa, the daughter of George and Avis Creekmer Talbott. She passed away April 17, 1998, at the Chariton Nursing and Rehab Center in Chariton at the age of 80 years. She graduated from Russell High School in 1934 and taught country school for a short time. Mildred was united in marriage to Clair W. Sellers of Russell on Feb. 16, 1938. The ceremony was performed by Mildred's father, the Rev. George Talbott. To this union four sons were born. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, reading, fishing, gardening and many other past times. Her family, friends and grandchildren were her special joy. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Verle Eldon Sellers, grandson Lloyd Allen Sellers, sister Shirley Talbott Jones, brother Don Talbott, and her husband Clair Willard Sellers in 1989. Survivors include three sons, Allen and wife Liz of Lincoln, Neb., Don and wife Ginger of Post Falls, Idaho, and Ed and wife Sandy of Russell; six grandchildren, Lisa, Jason, Tammy, Melodie, Samantha and Kristin; two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Ashley; one step-great grandchild; one brother Arthur Talbott of Fairmont, Minn., and a host of family and friends. Mildred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services were held on Thursday, April 23, 1998, at the Bethel United Methodist Church with burial in the Bethel Cemetery. The service was conducted by the Rev. Larry Prosser, with music by Mrs. Jo DeBok. Funeral arrangements were by Mosher Funeral Home.
