Read More	Mildred Stabler Fields (February 5, 1922 - July 19, 2013) Dateline: St. Matthews, SC OBITUARY Mildred Stabler Fields, 91, of St. Matthews, and widow of Oliver L. Fields, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at Palmetto Health Richland. Born on February 5, 1922 in Sandy Run, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harry Clifton Stabler and the late Mary Saylor Stabler. She was a graduate of St. Matthews High School. During WWII, Mrs. Fields worked at the Pentagon. Later, she retired as a seamstress with Sacony and Beach Party Manufacturing after many years of service. She had also worked at Factory Outlet in St. Matthews. She was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Dot Hinson of St. Matthews, and Cheryl Beard (Kenneth) of Irmo; a son, C.L. "Beedy" Fields (Fran) of St. Matthews; a brother, Ernest Stabler of Eutawville; seven grandchildren, Allison Oberlies (Michael) of St. Matthews, Danny Hooker (Diane) of Ladson, Brian Hinson (Tina) of Anderson, Sharon Lindler of St. Andrews, Karan Willetts (Stephen) of Waynesville, Missouri, Chris Fields of St Matthews and Amy Fields of Warner Robins, GA; and great-grandchildren, Christian Oberlies, Mattie Hinson, Braxton Hooker, Cody Temples, Jordan Willetts, Baylee Willetts, Heath Fields, Ashley Oberlies and Ethan Lindler. Memorials may be directed in Mildred's honor to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank the Staff at the Heritage of Lowman Home, for the loving care shown to Mrs. Fields.
