Lammers, died on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Nebraska. Milfred was born on August 3, 1928 in Upland, Nebraska to Henry and Martha (Scharff) Lammers. Milferd grew up in the Upland, Nebraska area and attended school there. Miff drove truck, working on highway construction for a short time. He met LaDonna Rush and together they ran a dairy and creamery in the Axtell, Nebraska area. They were married on June 5, 1949 at the First Presbyterian Church, Axtell, Nebraska. They started farming in the Axtell, Nebraska area in 1949 and in 1954 they moved to the farm where they now live. Miff retired in 2006. He enjoyed life on the farm and his cattle. Miff and LaDonna loved to dance. They spent many nights dancing and made many good friends at the dances. Miff really liked having coffee with the gang in Axtell, Nebraska, he liked people and visiting with friends both young and old. Most of all he loved being with his children and grandchildren and following them in their activities. Survivors are: wife, LaDonna Lammers of Axtell, Nebraska; daughter, Melanie Lammers-Garrett and husband, Joel of Grand Island, Nebraska; grandchildren, Michelle Eyler, Chandra Timmons and husband, Brian, and Aron Friskopp and wife, Amanda; great grandchildren, Bailey and Alexis Timmons and Abigail, Porter and Paxton Friskopp. Milfred is preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Kathleene K. (Lammers) Friskopp; two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services were Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Axtell, Nebraska with Rev. Kathleen Splitt officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Axtell, Nebraska.
