He is a native of Floyd County and a retired Pet Dairy Fleet Manager. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Collins; three daughters, Millicen A. Dill of Chesapeake, VA., Ponnie C. Sampson of Mineral Well's, WV, and Michelle C. Holland of Clemmons, NC.; a son, Allen Abe Collins of Portsmouth, VA.; one sister, Edna Mills of Copper Hill, VA., and ten grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24th, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Chesapeake, VA, and Thursday, Feb. 25th, at Oakey's Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nature Conservancy, Bottom Creek, in his name.
