Born September 17, 1927, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Clarence Edwin Dillard and Nannie Sue (Cobb) Dillard. Read More	Milliage Eugene "Snookie" Dillard, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born September 17, 1927, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Clarence Edwin Dillard and Nannie Sue (Cobb) Dillard. He was a retired Salesman with Life Insurance Company of Georgia and a carrier for the Spartanburg Herald Journal for twenty eight years, a very active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for fifty two years, and a veteran of WWII serving in U.S. Navy. Mr. Dillard was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Spartanburg Methodist College. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Juanita (Sawyer Dillard, two daughters, Leslie Traxler and husband, David of Spartanburg, Shannon Lewis and husband Gary of Spartanburg; five grandchildren, Mary Winston Traxler, Tyler Traxler, Garrett Traxler, Savanna Lewis and Emma Grace Lewis; a brother, Frank E. Dillard and wife, Patricia of Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation was 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at Trinity United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. T. Lee Bryant, the Rev. A. Mickey Fisher, and the Rev. Heather B. Humphries. Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 626 Norwood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
