Wills of this city, passed away at the home of her son at Blue Rapids, July 13. Funeral services were held at Blue Rapids Tuesday afternoon. July 15. conducted by Rev. W. W. Searcy of the Baptist church, and burial was made in the Elm Creek cemetery. Born near Louisville, Ky., September 10, 1841, deceased came with her parents to Kansas In 1847 and settled near Muscotah, where they lived until 1869. when they moved to Marshall county. They settled on Elm Click and made their home there many years. In 1906 she moved to Blue Rapids and had lived there ever since. Besides her sons, Herbert and Nelson Newman, of Blue Rapids, Mrs. Newman is survived by two sisters, one brother and five half brothers. A half-sister passed away at Kansas City within twenty minutes of the time of the death of Mrs. Newman.
