Description	:	Milo Nelson ws born to Mr. and Mrs. Swan Nelson at Oakland, Nebraska on June 25, 1895 and passed to his eternal rest on January 3, 1983 at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 9 days. He came with his parents to White Lake, SD in 1907. He attended country school and worked at home. On June 27, 1923, he was united in marriage to Veva Ruth Johnson at her home in Wausa, Nebraska. He had built a new home that year 10 miles north of White Lake where they made their home for 40 years.... He came with his parents to White Lake, SD in 1907. He attended country school and worked at home. On June 27, 1923, he was united in marriage to Veva Ruth Johnson at her home in Wausa, Nebraska. He had built a new home that year 10 miles north of White Lake where they made their home for 40 years. Milo was township assessor for 17 years. He was a faithful member of the Underwood Church, serving in many and various capacitites. He taught the Bible class and was caretaker for the cemetery for many years. He was always a concerned and helpful neighbor. In 1963, they retired and moved to Mitchell, SD. He continued with his concern and helpfulness by driving to the farm to work as long as he was able. They moved to Wesley Acres in 1972. Milo and Veva celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1973. He suffered a stroke in October of 1981 and had been confined to a wheel chair this past year. Milo was preceded in death by his wife, Veva in December, 1973, his parents, four brothers, Anthon, Levi, Lawrence, and Lowell, four sisters, Mrs. Dwight (Ellen) Baughman, Mrs. Charles (Naomi) Faulk, and Natalie. He is survived by one son, Myrle and his wife Jan and their children Chris, Sandra and Sue of White Lake, and one daughter LouOra and her husband Robert Busk and their children, Douglas, Barbara and Byron of Mitchell, Sd, two sisters, Mrs. Russell (Elsie) Salmen of Wessington Springs, SD and Dorothy Nelson of Mitchell, SD, and one brother, Francis of Santa Roas, California, and many relatives and friends.
