Read More	The Humboldt Republican Humboldt, Iowa Friday, April 25, 1947 IZOLA SMITH AND MILO SMITH WERE WED APRIL 7 (By Miss Lena Altman) LIVERMORE—Milo Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Zeke Smith, was united in marriage to Izola Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith of near Corwith, on Monday April 7, at Blue Earth. Minn. Rosemary Smith, sister of the groom, and Clarence Smith, brother of the groom, were bridesmaid and bestman. Smith, 51 Milo Ivan Smith, 51, died Wednesday in his home at Eagle Grove after a long illness. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove, with burial in Lu Verne Cemetery. Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, is in charge. Surviving are the widow, Izola; daughter, Mrs. Victor Streeby, Eldon; three grandchildren; brothers, Dwight Smith, Newark; Clarence, Muscatine; sisters, Mrs. Harold Manser, Winterset; Mrs. Gerald Smith, Dakota City; and Mrs. Donald Anderson, Hardy. Mr. Smith was born on a farm near Humboldt and was educated at Livermore. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, and was a paratrooper with the 82nd Division in Germany. After the war, he farmed for a time near Livermore then was employed in highway construction. He and his wife moved to Eagle Grove in 1975. ** Eagle Grove Eagle Eagle Grove, Iowa Thursday, June 17, 1976 Milo Smith, 51, died at his home, 302 So. Washington, Ave., Wednesday, June 9, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the United Methodist Church in charge of Rev. Donald Glazier. Interment was in the cemetery at LuVerne. Mr. Smith who was employed by Giese Construction, is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Victor Streeby, Eldon, two brothers and three sisters. Also, three grandchildren. Obituary Milo Ivan Smith was born August 23, 1924, the son of Zeak and Mae Bordwell, Smith in Humboldt County, Iowa. He received his education in the Livermore, Iowa School. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, as a paratrooper, with service in Europe. After his discharge in 1946, he returned to the Livermore area, and engaged in farming for a time. For the past several years, he has worked on construction projects around the State, and more recently, with the Giese Construction Co. of Eagle in road construction. He became disabled at work and had not worked since October, 1975. Milo died at his home in Eagle Grove on June 9, after a long illness at the age of 51 years, 9 months and 16 days. He is survived by his wife, Izola of Eagle Grove, and one daughter, Sandra, Mrs. Victor Streeby, Eldon, Iowa. Also, two brothers and three sisters: Dwight Smith, Newark, Ohio; Clarence Smith, Muscatine; Illean, Mrs. Harold Manser, Winterset; Rosemary, Mrs. Gerald Smith, Dakota City; Donna, Mrs. Donald Anderson, Hardy; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Milo was a member of the Methodist Church, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove. Rev.
