Milo LeRoy Davis, Jr. was born in Boone on May 2, 1931, the son of Milo Sr. and Ruth (Jones) Davis. He graduated from Boone High School in 1949. On April 11, 1952, Milo married . . . . They later divorced. On June 20, 1957, he married Beulah Segebart in Boone. She died in 1995. Milo later married . . . . They later divorced. In earlier years, Milo worked for a short time for the Boone County Engineer's Office and the Fort Dodge Des Moines & Southern Railway. At one time, he also was a home salesman for Rawleigh Health Products and a representative for Equitable Life Assurance Society in Boone. From 1956 to 1993, Milo worked for Randy's Frozen Meats of Boone as a route salesman. After retirement in 1993, Milo worked as a driver for Boone County Transportation, volunteered as a Foster Grandparent, and helped in the schools with reading, volunteered at the Evangelical Free Church Home, and delivered for Northwest Greenhouse. Besides other volunteer work, Milo managed to take courses at DMACC Boone Campus. Milo served with the Iowa National Guard for seven years. He was a member of the Boone Lions Club, Boone Chapter of AARP, First Baptist Church of Boone, and the United Pentecostal Church/New Life Church in Ames. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beulah, and daughter Lori Davis. Milo is survived by a son . . . ; three daughters . . . ; two brothers . . . ; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Sunday from 3 until 8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m. Visitation on Monday will be at the Church from 9 a.m. until service time. In memory of Milo, memorials may be directed to the family.
