Description	:	Milton was the first of five children born to Franco and Minerva (Cling) Slater. He served in WWI (originally enlisted with Colorado Company "C" 103rd Supply Train, but combined with the 28th Division during service)... and married Bessie Regina Cross around 1931. (Bessie first married Charles Ross, with whom she had four children, and divorced in 1930.) Milton was gassed by the Germans in WWI and, because of this, suffered with his health and eventually blindness in his later years. Milton worked with a threshing crew near Rifle, Colorado, where he died in 1961.	Milton was the first of five children born to Franco and Minerva (Cling) Slater.
