Bennett Family at Cana is Afflicted with Typhoid-Pneumonia. Milton, the five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Bennett of Cana is dead; Teddy, their eight-year-old son, is at the point of death; the mother is on the verge of collapse from illness and grief, and Sam Jones, formerly employed on the Bennett ranch, is seriously ill in a local hospital, all as the result of typhoid pneumonia. The family contracted the disease recently and yesterday morning the infant died. The mother is bravely holding up because of the illness of her other son, the crisis of whose illness was expected last night. The funeral of Milton Bennett will take place Wednesday afternoon. Short services will be held at the Pine Creek cemetery, where the interment will take place. No services cold be held at the house, because of the sickness that exists there. The Bennett family is one of the most widely known and respected of the Cana section, and their large circle of friends grieve with them because of their sore affliction.
