Born in Taunton, the son of the late Clayton and Elinda (Babeu) Cole, he was the husband of Norma (Pineo) Cole of Taunton. A life long resident of Taunton, Mr. Cole was a graduate with the Class of 1949 of Taunton High School. He then served in the U. S. Army from 1949 to 1953. Read More	TAUNTON – Milton David Cole, 77, died Monday, September 29, 2008, in Morton Hospital, Taunton, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Clayton and Elinda (Babeu) Cole, he was the husband of Norma (Pineo) Cole of Taunton. A life long resident of Taunton, Mr. Cole was a graduate with the Class of 1949 of Taunton High School. He then served in the U. S. Army from 1949 to 1953. Following his military service, Mr. Cole worked as a shipper at Dial Manufacturing Co, in Taunton, retiring in 1996. Previously he had been a shipper at Halco Toy Distributors in East Taunton and at Bay State Tap and Die in Mansfield. Mr. Cole enjoyed vacationing in Maine and New Hampshire with his family every summer. He was an avid reader, who loved history, and enjoyed listening to music. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Taunton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Valerie Lynch and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, Vicki Belanger and her husband Robert of Plymouth, and Vanessa DaRosa and her husband Eugene “Butch,” of Taunton. He was the grandfather of Jacqueline, Shawn, Erin and Shannon Lynch, Cole and Samantha Belanger, and Curtis DaRosa. He was the brother of Jeanette Hawkins and her husband Aldbert of Florida and the late Lorraine Oldfield, Clayton, Roland, Norman and Raymond Cole. He was the brother-in-law of Mary and Eileen Cole, both of Taunton. He was also a wonderful uncle of several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 370 Bay Street, Taunton, Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 10:00AM.
