Description	:	Milton was born on June 21, 1917 in rural Staplehurst, NE to Frank and Lydia (Reiling) Winkelmann. He attended elementary school for 8 years at Marysville Lutheran School. Milton served in the United States Army from October 23, 1941 through October 22, 1945 during WWII. On September 18, 1945, Milton was united in marriage to Wanda West at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Utica, NE. He farmed his whole life and retired in 1979. Read More	Milton was born on June 21, 1917 in rural Staplehurst, NE to Frank and Lydia (Reiling) Winkelmann. He attended elementary school for 8 years at Marysville Lutheran School. Milton served in the United States Army from October 23, 1941 through October 22, 1945 during WWII. On September 18, 1945, Milton was united in marriage to Wanda West at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Utica, NE. He farmed his whole life and retired in 1979. Milton was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church near Staplehurst, NE and held various offices in the church. He attended bible study on a regular basis. He was a member of Lutheran Laymen’s League. He was a lifetime member of Seward V.F.W. Post #4755 and a life time member of Utica American Legion Post #49 for 62 years. In his free time, Milton performed with the quartet and choir. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, pitching horse shoes, playing cards and bingo. He played baseball and bowled. Milton passed away on December 14, 2015 in Seward, NE at the age of 98 years, 5 months and 23 days. He is survived by his son, and daughter in law; daughter, ; son-in-law; 2 grand daughters, 5 grandsons; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; 7 step great-great-grandchildren; 5 sisers in law; many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lydia Winkelmann; wife, Wanda Winkelmann; daughter, Marylee Olson; grandson, Bart Rhodes; sister Velma Brandt; brother, Mervin Winkelmann.
