Description	:	Milton Fletcher Adams, 74, of Ayden, passed away at Vidant Medical Center on August 11, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born on January 12, 1941 to James C. and Evelyn Lloyd Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, J.C. Adams, and an infant brother, Lloyd Adams. Read More	Milton Fletcher Adams, 74, of Ayden, passed away at Vidant Medical Center on August 11, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born on January 12, 1941 to James C. and Evelyn Lloyd Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, J.C. Adams, and an infant brother, Lloyd Adams. Milton was born in Pitt County and lived most of his adult life in Ayden, NC. He graduated from Ayden High School in 1959 and attended Pitt Community College for a time. After joining the Unites States Army in 1960, he became a paratrooper with the prestigious 82nd Airborne. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC as well as in Okinawa, Japan and received an honorable discharge in 1966. Milton was a lifetime member of the 82nd Airborne Association and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a current member of the American Legion as well as a past member of the Greenville Moose Lodge and the Kinston Elks Lodge. Milton was always ready to help or lend a hand to the many people he met throughout his life. He was and will always be cherished by his family. He was a treasured husband, father, son, brother and friend whom will be dearly missed. Milton is survived by his best friend, his loving and devoted wife of almost 50 years, Grace; his precious daughter, Cristie Adams Budine and husband, Matt, of Wilmington, NC and his faithful companion, Trixie. He is also survived by two sisters, Brenda Butler and husband, Randy, of Greenville, NC and Geraldine Norris and husband, B.C., of Ayden, NC. Milton also leaves behind a dear extended family; Marie Davis, Rev. Eugene Hales and wife, Rose and Irvin Hales and wife, Donna, all of Goldsboro along with several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 3:00pm at Farmer Funeral Service. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Memorial Estates-Grifton.
