Description	:	A son of James Harvey, Sr., and Susannah Harvey, he married on June 11, 1845 to Miss Elizabeth Bartlett (1824-1874). He was the father of eight children, all of whom preceded him in death. A short obituary in the January 7, 1886 "Cadiz Republican" noted: "Milton Harvey, Esq., of Moorefield, this county, died on Thursday morning of last week. His age was probably 65 to 70 years. He was well known throughout the county - a man of large intelligence and force of character and noted for his peculiar and liberal views on religion and politics."
