BAKER THIS AFTERNOON Milton Horace Baker was born in Harrison county, Iowa, August 23, 1869. With the exception of four year's residence in Nebraska he has been a life-long resident of this county. He married in 1891, and to this union three children were born. The deceased has not been well for a considerable time, and the end came rather suddenly Monday morning, Nov. 9, and he passed on to his eternal reward at the age of 62 years. He leaves to morn [sic] his passing his wife, Mrs. V. May Baker, three children, Verne and William Baker of Woodbine, and Mrs. May Schmidt of Ute, Iowa; also one sister, Miss Vinnie Baker. Mr. Baker was a good citizen and will be missed, not only by his family but by the business interests of Woodbine. He had served as a member of the local board of education and at the time of his death was a member of the city council, to which he had been elected several times. He leaves hundreds of friends who join in extending sympathy to the bereaved family. Funeral services will be held at the Heft funeral home this afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Hary Coates officiating, after which interment will be made in the local cemetery. The local Masonic lodge will have charge of the service at the grave.
