Read More	The Valley Falls Vindicator, 08 Mar 1984, Pg 8, col 6 MILTON 'MIKE' ELLIOTT Milton "Mike" Elliott, 64, Valley Falls, died Feb. 28, at a Topeka hospital. He was in ill health the past several months. Mr. Elliott owned and operated Mike's Plumbing and Welding at Valley Falls the past 35 years. He also owned Valley Car Wash. Mr. Elliott opened graves at the Valley Falls Cemetery for the past 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was born Nov. 1, 1919, at Valley Falls, the son of Morgan and Ethel Aylward Elliott, and spent most of his life in the Valley Falls community. He was graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1937 and attended a mechanics school in Detroit, Mich. Mr. Elliott was a member of the First Christian Church and Grahem-Herbers Post No. 3084 of Veterans of Foreign Wars, both at Valley Falls. He was married to Laura Schroth Miller June 1, 1948, at Manhattan. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Pamela Swiggum, Topeka; a son, Capt. Michael Elliott, Fort Benning, Ga.; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Joyce Binkley, Topeka; a stepson, Allan Miller, Fayetteville, Ark.; a brother, Eldon Elliott, Coupeville, Wash.; and four grandchildren. Services were March 3 at Nellis-Hagge Funeral Home, Valley Falls. Military graveside services were conducted by Grahem-Herbers Post No. 3084 in the Valley Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Falls Rescue Unit or the American Cancer Society. Officiating the service was Gary Spencer, minister of the First Christian Church. Mrs. Larry Jackson was soloists and Mrs. Gary Spencer, organist. Honorary pallbearers were Noel Stewart and Bill Barker. Pallbearers were John Bryant, Walt Meyer, Frank Freeland, Gradion Johnson, Bill Metzger, and Charlie Carr.
