Description	:	The funeral for Milton M. Gilbertson, 89, was held today. Wednesday, October 24, at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Havana, ND with Rev. Terrill Sorensen officiating. Burial will be held Thursday, October 25 at Sunset Memorial Garden of Jamestown, ND. Price Funeral Chapel of Britton is in charge of arrangements. He died Friday, October 19, 2007 at Wheatcrest Hills in Britton. Milton Monroe Gilbertson was born October 17, 1918 near Kathryn, ND to Martin and Myrl (Johnson) Gilbertson. He grew up there and attended Eastedge school near Kathryn. On November 19, 1943 he married Gladys Stone. They farmed for a period of time near Kathryn before Milt began his career as an elevator manager at Eastedge. Over the years, Milt worked at elevators in Alexandria, MN; Carrington, ND; Eldridge, ND; and Havana, ND. He retired from the Havana Farmers Elevator, and he and Gladys made their home in Havana. Milt enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family. Gladys died December 31, 1998. Milton continued to live in Havana until moving to Spruce Court in Britton in November of 2000, and to Wheatcrest Hills in July of 2007. Survivors include; three daughters: Gayl (Gerhardt) Lange, Jamestown, ND, Karen (Richard) Sinkie, Gann Valley, Mary (Richard) Hastings, Britton; one sister: Gertrude Larson, Fergus Falls, MN; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, a sister and a special friend. Casketbearers will be Chris Hastings, Ryan Hastings, Shawn Lange, Travis Lange, Ralph Smith and Gary Thornberg. Honorary casketbearers will be Shannon Cebula, Kim Meinhart, Robin Strickland, Brian Beglau, Brynne Lange, Jadee Lange, Cody Lange, Kellen Lange, Morgan Nathaniel, Alex Cebula, Tristen McGrath, Lindsey Meinhart, Aiden Strickland, Baby Hastings, Lowell Smith and Wayne Nelson.
