Larson, age 87, a longtime resident of Deep River and the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Bowers) Larson passed away on Thursday morning, June 26, 2014 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. He was born in Essex on November 27, 1926 the son of Albin and Anna (Nelson) Larson. Larson, age 87, a longtime resident of Deep River and the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Bowers) Larson passed away on Thursday morning, June 26, 2014 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. He was born in Essex on November 27, 1926 the son of Albin and Anna (Nelson) Larson. Milton was a well known marine mechanic in the Lower Connecticut River Valley having worked at several marinas in Essex and Old Saybrook. He retired from the Brewer Pilots Point Marina in Westbrook. Milton was an avid fisherman and had a life long passion for the water. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, gentle and caring person and one who was always there for others in need. He is survived by his daughters, Sheila Biruk, and her husband John of Halcottsville, New York, Christine Dupre of Old Saybrook, Kathleen Fremut of Deep River and his son Robert M. Larson also of Deep River. Milton also leaves 10 grand children, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren,. Beside his wife Phyllis, he was predeceased by his first wife Carol (Brooks)Larson and his siblings, Hilma Berggren, Harold Larson, Margaret Hull, Edith Johnson and Elizabeth Cerruti. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook on Tuesday July 1, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A grave side service will be held on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Centerbrook Cemetery, Wstbrook Road in Centerbrook. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Milton's name to Meals on Wheels, c/o the Estuary Regional Center, 220 Main Street, Old Saybrook, Ct.06475
