Johnson, was born on a farm near Central City, Nebraska August 9, 1904 and died at St. Joseph, Missouri on Dec. 31, 1928, at the age of 24 years, 4 months, 22 days. He grew to manhood in Merrick County where he received his education in the public schools. Johnson, was born on a farm near Central City, Nebraska August 9, 1904 and died at St. Joseph, Missouri on Dec. 31, 1928, at the age of 24 years, 4 months, 22 days. He grew to manhood in Merrick County where he received his education in the public schools. About five years ago he moved with his parents to Nance County where he assisted his father on the farm until last September, when due to crop failures, Milton and two of his brothers started out to seek employment. He went to St. Joseph, Mo. where he worked until Saturday morning Dec. 29, when he took ill with pneumonia, and only lived about 48 hours. Milton was a bright and energetic, husky young man until about four years ago when he was accidently shot, losing his right eye, which often caused him trouble from the extreme cold and intense heat. He leaves to mourn his loss, his father and mother, seven brothers and six sisters. Michael, Harvey, Mrs. Mildred Harshfield, Mrs. Alice Wiser, Eloise, Edwin, Wallace, Lorena, Irene, Helen and Keneth (sic Wibur (sic), Donald,), also one grandfather, five aunts and three uncles, and many friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Friends Church at Central City by Rev.Central City cemetery. Services by Walter Wilson, and Rev. O. W. Carrol and interment was made in the family plot.
