Mrs. Mina McNee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jackson was born in Linn Township, Cedar County, Iowa, December 16, 1896 and passed away at St. Luke's Hospital, February 12, 1950. She attended the county school until entering the grades in Mechanicsville, graduating from High School in 1917. She united with the Presbyterian Church in 1911. She was united in marriage to Rudolph McNee at the home of her parents, September 30, 1924. They established their home on a farm in the same vicinity where she resided until her death, and will be remembered as a kind neighbor always willing to help others. To this union was born a daughter Opal Arlene and a son Roland LaVere both at home. She is survived by her husband and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha McNee and Mrs. Nancy McKibben, two brothers, Allen Jackson and Harry Jackson all of Mechanicsville. Also an aunt Mrs. Dan Studer; and an uncle John Jackson of Mechanicsville and an uncle F. E. Moir of Evanston, Illinois; two nieces, Mrs. Robert Raven of Minot, North Dakota; and Miss Darla Dee Jackson of Mechanicsville and many cousins and friends. Her parents preceded her in death in 1948. -------------------------
