Lipe, died Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Peters, at 68 Market street, East Palestine, after a year's illness. She was born in East Springfield on March 31, 1853, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith. Her husband preceded her in death two years ago. She had spent practically all her life here, moving to East Palestine six months ago. She leaves two sons, Robert of Columbiana and William of Lisbon; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Peters of East Palestine; one brother, John Smith, of Youngstown; one sister, Mrs Lucinda Kibler of New Waterford, and nine grandchildren. The body was taken to the Fry Funeral home here and later removed to the Robert Lipe home where funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. J. C. Struble, pastor of the Columbiana Presbyterian church.
