He passed away on 03 December 1908. ————— Obit: Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Vosgerau home and at 2:30 p.m. in the Lutheran Church for Mrs. Minnie Vosgerau, who passed away last Thursday after a brief illness. Rev. R. C. Andersen officiated at the service and burial was in the Kimball Cemetery. Mrs. Minnie Vosgerau was born May 10, 1875 , at Clayton Center, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Pastor Seibert of Clayton Center, where she grew to young womanhood. At Postville, Iowa she was married to Christ Schlie and they moved to Cresco, Iowa, where Mr. Schlie later passed away, leaving his widow and three children, Walter, Clarence and Alvina. On April 10, 1910, she was united in marriage to Hans Vosgerau at Kimball, SD and this had been her home continuously. One daughter was born to them here, Elizabeth. Mr. Vosgerau passed away March 29, 1947. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.   Mrs. Vosgerau became seriously ill with a heart ailment about 10 days before her death and was taken to the Methodist hospital in Mitchell, when she received the best of care and at time rallied enough to give hope to her loved ones that she would recover the attack.   She died suddenly in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 22, 1948, at the age of 73 years, two months and twelve days.   Mrs. Vosgerau was a quiet, unassuming woman, who loved to raise beautiful flowers and to have company in her home. She did not get about much in public places but never failed to attend church services when she was able to do so, and always tried to lead a Christian life.   At the services Monday afternoon music was furnished by a quartet composed of Rev. Mr. Andersen, Mrs. Harris Glanzer and Mr. and Mrs. John Holmquist. Mrs. Anderson accompanied them at the piano. Songs were "Rock of Ages", "Abide With Me", and "In the Garden".   Pallbearers were four nephews, Herbert Meier of Blue Earth, MN, Clifford and Robert Hansen of Sioux Falls, SD and Albert Meier of Mitchell and two friends of the family, Harris Glanzer and Ervin Fascher.   Mrs. Vosgerau is survived by her four children, four brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter, Marilyn Schlie of Detroit, Michigan and one step-daughter Mrs. Alma Koenig, Castalia, Iowa.    The children are Walter Schlie, Detroit, Michigan, Clarence Schlie of Lindoln, NE, Alvina Schlie and Elisabeth Vosgerau of Kimball. The brothers are Charley, John and William Meier of Sterling, IL and Fred Meier of Blue Earth, MN. The four sisters are Mrs. Betha Ihde, Garnavillo, IA, Mrs. Fritz (Lina) Ihde, Waterford, California, Mrs. (Fritz Friederich) Anna Ihlenfeldt, Elkader, IA and Mrs. Fred (Elsie)Hansen, Sioux Falls, SD.  Relatives from a distance here to the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Meier and Fred Meier of Blue Earth; Mrs. and Mrs. Clifford Hansen and son Gaylord, Mr. and Fred Hansen and son, Robert, Sioux Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meier, Mitchell; Mrs. John (Bertha) Ihde and Mrs. Fred (Anna) Ihlenfeldt from Iowa; Charles, John and William Meier from Sterling, IL.   Friends from a distance were Mrs. Kate Duba, Mitchell; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tronek, White Lake.
